There is a certificate included with the delivered product, what does this mean?
Your product comes with a certificate of authenticity. It contains a serial number, which corresponds to your product. Your product is registered in a database using this serial number. This database contains all Killer Instinct Customs products. The serial number is unique and proves that the product has successfully passed testing. A Killer Instinct Customs product always comes with a certificate containing the serial number.

The certificate of authenticity is missing.
Our products are always delivered with this certificate, but if it is missing, please contact us and we will send it to you.


I bought a KIC product secondhand, but the certificate isn't included. Can I still request it?
Yes and no. It's complicated, but the serial number is difficult to determine. You could, for example, send us a photo. We can still retrieve the certificate and serial number through the database and then send them to you. This isn't possible if the bait is from a series that is too old. In that case, unfortunately, we can't help you.

How do I create a custom lure?
You can contact us, for example, by using the contact form or by phone, to share your requirements. We will stay in touch until we have a clear understanding of your needs. You will then receive an order number with a summary of your requirements. Please allow approximately one to two weeks for production and approximately one week for performance testing. The test results will be emailed to you. Only after you approve the product will it be serialized, entered into our database, and shipped to you. Please note: Custom lures may incur additional charges.

What if I am not satisfied with the delivered product?
Depending on several factors, we will assess whether we can replace the product if it qualifies. If this is not the case, please be aware that you have essentially agreed to a bait you have created yourself. KIC builds your bait entirely to your specifications. Therefore, it is extremely wise to take our advice when we contact you.

My product was delivered damaged, what now?
KIC makes every effort to package our products as securely as possible, but if your product arrives damaged, it's frustrating but easily resolved. Send us an email with photos of the damaged product, and we'll simply rebuild your bait at no extra cost. This new product will also have a new serial number. We may ask you for information about the carrier so we can contact them.

The seal on the box is broken, what now?
If the seal on the box is broken, it means the box was opened after shipping. Please check that your product has been delivered and is in good condition. Please contact us. If you have any information about the delivery service provider, please let us know. We will then contact them. If your product is damaged or even missing, please contact us. We will work with you to find a suitable solution.

My product is showing signs of rapid wear. What should I do?
KIC products are provided with a rock-solid protective layer, providing exceptional protection and durability. However, even this protective layer has its limits. You should, of course, use the bait for its intended purpose. KIC products are designed for freshwater, not saltwater. Underwater obstacles, such as stones, rocks, and logs, can also damage your bait. Repeatedly dropping your bait on the ground or throwing it against bridges can damage or even break your bait. If the bait shows signs of damage or is even broken by a single fish, it's possible to replace it with a new product. However, this depends on several factors. Feel free to contact us, and we'll work with you to find a suitable solution.

Is it possible to order a lure blank?
Yes, Killer Instinct Customs offers you the option of having your lure delivered completely blank, without a custom paint job. Your lure blank will be provided with a serial number, which will be recorded in the database under the heading "lure blank." Lure blanks are delivered with your chosen hooks, split rings, and eyes.
